The most crucial task is to forge more life into your day. This does not mean new to-dos; it means less. It means creating space to think, walk, eat, sleep, read, love, and dream.

ON THE MAT
When we view our yoga practice as our workout, it can quickly turn into a task, something we get done in our day. I sometimes hear people speaking after the 6 am class, “Ya, I got my workout out of the way.” This powerful quote is inviting us to remove the word workout and replace it with the word ‘practice.’ It shifts us and opens us to creating space for more possibility in our day.
The key phrase we returned to over & over was “our most crucial task” is this deliberate breath right here, right now. Hey, and guess what, we also get great work out in too, that happens on its own by doing the work of the practice. It’s powerful to take 60 mins and forge more life into our day.
We all get the same 24 hours, so we have added time to our day. We’ve added more life, more space for our authentic self to be present and aware.
OFF THE MAT
I love the powerful statement, “our most crucial task is forging more life into our day. This is what practice offers us. A chance to deepen our breath and create space for more life. By being deliberate in your practice, you begin to calm the mind and naturally create room to be present in how you walk, how you eat and how you love.
