Philly D's uplifting Grad Program will have your students work on WHO they want to be [as a person]. WHY? Because deciding who you want to be will directly affect the success you have, no matter what you do.
Let's get all of your grads together and encourage them to start thinking about how their actions today will help create the tomorrow they want. This presentation is high energy, funny and full of powerful personal stories that look at making something happen in your life, not waiting for something to happen.
Phil uses the word N.O.W. as an acronym and each letter builds on a simple theme: the best way to predict the future is to create it.
"N" - Never Say Never
Never say never is an attitude of POSSIBLITY. When your grad ask themselves, "What is possible for me?" The answer should be, "Anything and everything." Can they all answer like this?
You will certainly fall down in life. We all do. The question is, are you willing you get back up? I know, an over used motivational cliché. However, getting back up is necessary and more and more grads are beginning to think there is nothing to get up for. Phil opens the doors to his life and shares a powerful story about his younger brother Aaron who was told he would not live past 10 years old. The story is breath taking and one student described it as, "life-changing."
"O" - Opportunity [as in seek opporuntity]
This is about taking your attitude of possiblity & putting it into ACTION. Phil reminds your grads that they can't wait around for something to happen. You have to seek out opportunity and take the steps you NEED TO TAKE. Until you do this, you can't take the steps you want to take.
"W" - WHO Do You Want To Be?
A huge part of WHO you become is determined by your present day influences. Who do you surround yourself with? Do your friends lift you up and encourage you? Or, do they bring you down and make fun of the great things you want to do? Take a look outside your school, who influences you?
Phil will get your grads to take a look at the people who influence and share amazing stories about the people who helped shaped him. The stories are inspirtational, yet full of great humour.
NOW is the time to take your grads to a new level... HIGHER LEVEL.
