You Are Special [because of WHO you are]

You Are Special [because of WHO you are]

It's Your World To Create.

Phil, thank you for the dynamic presentations today.  Both the junior and senior students really identified with your message and your sense of humour.

In the end, however, it was your stories that stole the show.  Amazing work! I really loved the visuals, it pulls the students into the story.  We can't wait to have you back soon!

Its Your World

Watch Philly D give a  Video Summary of this Program.

In this powerful assembly program, Phil delivers a simple message our young people don't hear enough, "You are special BECAUSE [not if] of  who you are.'

Self-esteem is a big issue with any teenager, and this program challenges this problem head on.  It's designed to encourage personal development and confidence building.

Philly D gives his audience 3 KEYS to unlock the value you hold within.

3 KEYS to help you open the door & become a strong, confident person in the high school setting. This person can see the good in themselves and searches for the good in others.

Q.  WHAT ARE THE 3 KEYS?

KEY 1: Appreciation

This is the foundation: appreciate what you have, and the people you have around you. If we can stop taking things for granted and really appreciate, then we can build from there and go after the things we want, and the dreams we want to live.

To put perspective on 'appreciation', Philly D shares a personal encounter he had with a young cancer patient at a children's hospital. This powerful story gives light to a simple concept, "no matter your circumstance, YOU HAVE VALUE, you are important."

KEY 2:  Celebration

The idea here is simple: celebrating who you are leads to who you can become.  FEAR & DOUBT is the number one thing that hold people back from creating the life they want.

Never hide who you are.  If you do, you'll forget who you want to become.  Celebrate your life by sharing. Share your sorrows with a close friend. Share your talents, smiles, high fives, share your laughter and your passions.  Once you start sharing, you instantly start learning, continue growing and develop confidence.

KEY 3: No Hesitation

You can appreciate... you can celebrate, but when it comes time for action... doing what is right... facing your fears, you can not hesitate.

This is the most important key, the positive action needed for making high school what it should be, a catalyst to becoming who you can be.  Here Phil will talk about getting involved in your high school life.  "The more you learn = the more you can do, but, the more you do, the more you are going to learn [about yourself]."

Stop waiting for something to happen in your life, it's time to make something happen. Don't hesitate in the face of fear; move forward, toward your dream.

Defeating Negative & Creating Positive

Defeating Negative & Creating Positive

Thank you!

My daughter attended your Inspirational Assembly at the Liverpool RHS where she is in grade 10.  We have a good relationship & we chat often. Your name has been coming up on a regular basis. She either relays something you did that made her laugh or she'll relate a stroy that you told.

I just wanted to say thank you and let you know that you touched a heart and made a strong impression on my daughter Shanna.  She is happier and more open then she's ever been. Thank you!"
With Great Respect.

Phil's 3 STEP program to creating positive in your everyday life is a high energy presentation that is interactive, funny and memorable.

This speech is what started Philly D's career.  The theme of the presentation is "Keep It Simple."  He will guide your audience to open their minds to the possibilities that exist for them.  Then he will help open their hearts to believe in those possibilities. Finally he challenges each participant to "take simple action" toward making those possibilities a real part of their everyday life

What Are The 3 STEPS to Defeating Negative & Creating Positive?

Step One: Understanding the Power of the Positive
In kindergarten life was simple. As we grow up we start to complicate things. By the time you reach junior & senior high school there are a lot of things to worry about. What am I going to do with my life? Am I good enough? Pretty enough? Smart enough? Where do I fit in? Do I fit in?

In the search for the answers our youth get frustrated and misplaced. Feeling lost creates negative energy. Step one shows students how to defeat the negative by using just one simple positive thought.

Using a volunteer from the audience Philly D demonstrates the power of simple thoughts; positive thoughts.  If you make an effort to open your mind, in just seconds you can change your moment, in just seconds you can begin to change your situation; begin to change your life.

Step Two: Open Your Heart
If you open your mind to find even one positive thought, in seconds you become stronger. If you can open your heart to believe in that thought, believe in yourself, then you multiply your strength by the millions.

As young people, we've all had struggles with our parent(s). In step two Philly D shares a telling story about his parent's divorce and the hate he grew in his life. The core of the tale is how he opened his heart to overcome that anger.

Step Three: Take Simple Action
Steps one & two focus on defeating negative - finding the inner strength. Step three challenges each student to use that strength to begin creating positive. Be a part of your life everyday, so you don't have to complain about it, wonder about it, or blame others for the actions you take in it.

Be a part of your life. Be a part of your school life. Be a part of your home life. Participate in who you become.
